The City of Locust sponsors a free Summer Movie and Concert Series throughout the late spring, summer and early fall months. For hundreds of people, this annual tradition at Locust Town Center, is an every-week tradition and also attended by friends and family who travel from neighboring counties and beyond.

Mark Your Calendars for 2012!

Summer Movies are the 2nd Friday of every month and Concerts/Cruise-In is the 3rd Friday of every month.

The Locust Cruise-In for lovers of vintage classic cars and festivals returns to Locust Town Center in 2012, same 3rd Friday night as the Concert Series. Cruise-In starts around 5 pm; concert starts afterwards.

April 20: Gravity Hill - Local band playing Contemporary,
Southern and Christian music.

May 18: Right Turn Clyde - Local Favorite. Variety Music at
it's very best!

June 15: ToneBlazers - The ToneBlazer's repertoire includes bluegrass,
western swing, country, folk, rock, blues, and their own unique originals. Great unique band from Western NC. They will also perform at Merlefest in 2012!

July 20: Big Sam - Great Band with very talented musicians. Music from
Barry White to Kid Rock to KC and the Sunshine Band!

August 17: SummerDaze - Repeat performer to our Summer Concerts. Lots of
energy and great music. This Band has been known to bring Elvis along with them!

September 21: Holiday Band - One of the premiere beach music groups around.
2009 Carolina Beach Music group of the year. 2011 Group Album of the Year!

October 19: Too Much Sylvia - From beach music to ZZ Top. This is the
"can't miss" concert!
